The annual Amy Yee legacy tennis clinics
In the footsteps of Amy Yee and her son Gordy, the foundation offers free tennis clinics to school age children. Volunteers have made this event a success year after year. The foundation appreciates all supporters of this event and the foundation. The clinics primary objective is to introduce tennis to kids and also to energize kids who already play.
Updates & News
As announced at our June 29 clinic, the foundation is offering an age 6-8 yrs. program Friday evenings starting July 19-August 23 from 6pm-7pm for 6 weeks. The program is a scaled down version of our recently held June clinics. It will also be free, but 1) a parent must participate or an authorized adult, and 2) you must be committed to attend 5 or 6 of the dates. Our objective is to fully utilize volunteer time and court time each Friday. Thank you for your understanding.

2024 Amy Yee legacy Tennis clinics June 1,8,15,22,29 SUMMARY
The Amy Yee Tennis Foundation held 5 Saturday clinics this year. The foundation received nearly 300 registrations and this was a 10% increase over 2023. We had a couple of scares with rain being forecasted, but unlike last year where we canceled two Saturdays with wet courts, we held all 5 of the planned clinics in June. Each Saturday, many of our amazing volunteer admin and instructor staff arrive an hour early (before 8a) to prepare for the 100 plus energetic kids eager to learn tennis. Our winning formula of encouraging parents to participate on court was again a success. The foundation and parents thank Seattle Parks and Recreation, AYTC, foundation volunteers and private donations supporting foundation objectives.

You Can Help
Our success lies with volunteers who help on court as an instructor or assistant off court performing administrative tasks such as set-up and participant check-in. Volunteers play a significant role in helping kids have fun learning tennis in the spirit Amy Yee and Gordy Yee. Volunteer for our upcoming Jul-Aug program.
